I screwed up again. Well not really. I was cognizant of the fact that I had not blogged by the time I went to bed, but wasn’t really that motivated to get out of bed to do so. Oh well.
So, Janathon Day 13: the trip home from Phoenix to Newark.
Something’s up with my Vivofit. Last week, the day I flew to Phoenix, I had 8,815 steps. Makes perfect sense–5+ hours in the air, plus all the sitting around at the airport, etc. Yesterday, the return trip? 18,604. Yep, nearly 10,000 more. But no additional walking/running (I did yoga both mornings–that gives you all of 19 steps). The only difference I can think of? Knitting!
Yes, I knit on my way to Phoenix, but it was stockinette stitch, and my right hand doesn’t move that much. Coming home, I was working on Knus, and the stitch pattern is a bit more complicated and required more arm movement…? Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking with it. I would like to add that after 4 hours in the plane, I only had added about 2″ to the sweater. This is going to be a slog:
Janathon Day 14: Let me tell, there’s nothing like a 47 degree drop in temps to speed up your legs. I ran today’s 4.69 miles at a 9:21 pace at 10 degrees F. Much improved over my last run in Phoenix: 4 miles at 9:58 pace at 57F. It was much more humid there, too!
