In this edition of Monday Makes, I share the Minimalist Wallet from Noodlehead. I really love Anna Graham’s bag designs, but I’ve always been a bit intimidated to try one, as the bits and bobs are a bit fiddly for me.
Well, color me smitten! This came together in a snap (including setting those magnificent antique brass snaps on the flap)!
I used a lovely cotton from Purl Soho that I picked up maybe 6 years ago, and the flap isn’t leather but rather kraft-Tex sewable paper. The snaps came from Noodlehead.
What I like about this wallet is that it’s large enough to hold my phone, and the 3 slots are plenty for a metro card, bank card and ID. I see this as coming in handy for some trips I’m taking in the near future. For added durability, I may wax the cotton, but I’m not sure yet.
Each and every project I learn something new. This one? How to set snaps (not scary at all), and importantly, to plow ahead even if unsure, which is always a good lesson.
