Back at the White House Correspondents’ dinner, Michelle Wolf joked about how the current administration has been good for business–particularly the craft business.
She’s absolutely right.
And now it’s almost July, and I’ve got to make a serious dent in my project queue. It will start next week, as I’m spending an entire 7 days ALONE in Maine as Thing 3 is off to camp and I’m in no mind whatsoever to make two roundtrips between NJ and Hope, Maine in that time frame.
On my docket:
1. Making some headway into my Summer of Basics projects. My goal? Kate Davies’ outfit:
The pants are done. I used the Lander Pants pattern by True Bias, and just modified the pockets slightly, and topstitched in white.
While Summer of Basics is my main goal, I’ve done some serious yarn buying this year on several trips I took this spring. So, marinating for their cast on are:
- Arrina (pattern and yarn purchased at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival)
- Marius (yarn purchased in Norway)
- Churchmouse’s Quintessential Cardigan in my one-of-a-kind yarn (also from EYF)
I have a feeling those 8 days won’t nearly be long enough!
